Metsä Group is looking for a
CREDIT CONTROLLER, Central, South-East Europe
What do you get to do?
The role will involve daily credit management within the region of Central and South Eastern Europe for all group companies, reporting to the Regional Credit Manager.
As a credit controller, you will assist in managing credit risk and ensuring that credit policies are followed. Through effective questioning and listening skills, you will be discussing with customers how and why their account is overdue, identifying root causes and proposing solutions for minimizing aged debt. You will be cooperating closely with Sales, Customer Service and Business Management to ensure a balanced approach between sales and credit risk.
In addition, your key responsibilities include:
  • Contacting late paying customers and conducting receivables collection activities
  • Assisting with credit limit reviews/renewals
  • Making financial analysis and credibility analysis of customers
  • Making weekly and monthly receivables reports for stakeholders
  • Executing credit check releases, in cooperation with Sales, Customer Service and Logistics.
  • Performing Know Your Customer Compliance checks in line with group process
  • Handle special projects/assignments as necessary
  • Being part of the bigger team responsible for managing credit risk within the region
What are we looking for?
You have a finance-related academic degree and 1 year of working experience in a similar finance-related role, preferably in an international environment. To succeed you will need good people skills, be able to work under pressure, find it easy to communicate with other people yet be meticulous and you are also self-organized. Skills in SAP are seen as an asset. Fluent English is a must, other languages of CSEE will be an additional asset.
