A great opportunity has become available to join Boeing Poland as a Boeing Commercial Aircraft Customer Support Wide Body Airframe Stress Analyst Engineering Team Lead, based on our office in Gdansk, Poland.
Profile Description:
Plans, leads, and performs detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue and damage tolerance) to determine structural integrity (margins of safety), using classical techniques and Boeing tools.
Coordinates work of the team with other engineering groups to establish quality and on time delivery of the product on target levels.
Strongly familiar with regulatory framework (FAA), for warranting safety and regulatory compliance.
Leads a team of stress analysts and acts as a mentor for the less experienced engineers.
Ensures team’s tasks scheduling, leads work progress, and reports delivery schedule to the customer.
Develops and implements product/process improvements.
Works under minimal direction.
Position Requirements:
4+ years of relevant engineering work experience.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering is a must. Mechanical, Aerospace, Applied Mechanics, Structural Engineering fields of study are preferable.
Solid communicator, fluent in both written and verbal English.
Experience in leading engineering teams.
Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, free-body diagrams, load path, structural loads, joints and structural analysis methods.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of strength of materials (hand calculation, analytical methods) approach.
Knowledge of the finite element method approach will be an advantage.
Experience in static, fatigue and damage tolerance analyses.
Solid understanding of aircraft structure design philosophy.
Experience in structural analysis of metallic or composite airframe structures.
Able to work collaboratively with multi-functional team and work flexible hours to meet the business needs.
